On Monday, the tribunal was told communication data and information recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and remains open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate voicemail, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am she? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The tribunal was advised that by means of emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with the police force who gathered the evidence, advised the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with close associates of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, Mr McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I won't give up and I will prove my position."

The court heard the co-defendant established a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in December 2024.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated using messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the months preceding the appearance to Rothley, that area, in that winter.

The court learned communications between the two individuals, in last November, planning attempting to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her bins or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We must take action," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their house, the defendant dispatched a text which said: "We find ourselves positioned adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I wanted to do this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
