Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
