Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order placed a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of murder, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public figures shared different comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing controversial statements that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have acted when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
