Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
